Activity #5

Write a final reflection about the course: Did you find it useful? What would you change about it? Evaluate yourself from 1 to 10.

I found learning how to write a resume and a cover letter very helpful because I am thinking about doing a masters degree and looking for a job in the USA after that. Knowing how to use Memos was interesting too. I evaluate myself with 7 points because in the first week I was very lazy, but after that I started make an effort every day, reading, watching the videos, etc.

Activity #4

Write a 40 word reflection about your Simulation Discussion. What was the hardest part? What was the nicest part?

The hardest part was to get comfortable around people I met just 2 weeks ago. I am really shy when I have to speak in English so recording with them was kind of a challenge. The nicest part was beating my feather.

Activity #2

Name and explain 1 reason why having a flawless grammar is important in business English.

In Business, the first impressions are vital cause people do not have infinite time to make decisions, or to trust each other . Good grammar is very important cause it makes a great first impression when two people get to know each other through mail, e-mails or memos.

Activity #1

Write a short reflection of 30 words after your synchronous session. What mistakes should you correct in your Résumé? What, in your opinion, is the hardest part of writing a Résume?

The biggest mistake I made was about writing in capital letters the word "Current". I did no realize it was that annoying to read.

I thing the hardest thing about writing a Résumé is making it simple, because I feel uncertain that just one page of information could get me a job interview.
